Chris ConcannonBE (Civil), GIPENZStructural Engineer – Takapuna OfficeChris has been with
Airey Consultants since the end of his 3rd year of university gaining work
experience as a student. Chris graduated in 2007 and has worked full time
ever since on some interesting and challenging structural and fire
engineering based projects. Chris has worked on various scale residential,
industrial and commercial projects in the greater Auckland area. Outside
of work Chris enjoys playing sports such as summer soccer and attempting
to hit the ball around a golf course. During the summer months he enjoys
getting away for the weekend to Mt Manganui and enjoys spending time at
the beach. Chris is also a keen rugby fan and enjoys playing guitar.

Carlton CribbBEng (Hons)Senior Structural Engineer – Takapuna Office
Carlton first worked for Airey Consultants in 1997 and 2001 when his OE
ended with him emigrating and gaining NZ Citizenship. A graduate, with 1st
Class Honours, of Kingston University in the UK Carlton began his
Engineering career at 17 fresh out of high school when his passion for
drawing led him into an apprenticeship as a Structural Draughtsman for 5
years. Prior to his initial time with Aireys, Carlton worked as Graduate
Engineer in London and after as a self-employed contract Engineer in Perth
Australia. On returning to the UK he worked for local consultancies, and
after a brief hiatus into the world of Digital Marketing has returned to
his main passion of Structural Engineering rejoining Airey Consultants.
Outside of work Carlton is a keen scuba diver and guitarist.

Andrew HoogerbrugBE (Civil), GIPENZStructural Engineer – Takapuna OfficeAndrew has been with Airey
Consultants since his 3rd year of university gaining work experience as a
student, and after graduating in 2007 is gaining valuable experience in
structural and fire engineering. He has worked on a number of
residential, industrial, and commercial structures, he is always keen to
learn and up for a challenge. Andrew goes snowboarding as much as possible
during the winter, and likes to get out on the golf course or spend time
on a beach during the summer.

Nicola KnottOffice Manager - Orewa OfficeNicola is Airey Consultant Ltd’s
Orewa Branch Office Manager. Nicola is responsible for organising and
coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure the
smooth running of the office and is responsible for all administrative
duties. She has worked at Airey’s Orewa in this capacity for over 5
years.

Sam LiuBE (Civil), GIPENZCivil Engineer – Takapuna OfficeSam has been working
with Aireys since 2005. He is experienced in subdivisional development,
roading and drainage design.

Cam McGibbonNZCE (Civil), TIPENZ, ETPractCivil Engineer – Takapuna Office
Cam is a civil engineer with 18
years experience in a variety of civil engineering fields including
development engineering, geotechnical/environmental site investigations
and as a site engineer on construction sites in the U.K.
Since joining Airey Consultants Ltd in 2000, Cam now
specialises in the design and contract management of civil and marine
developments. Cam still enjoys the odd
game of ‘oldies’ rugby and a paddle in the surf. He is currently in the
process of raising two ‘active’ boys with his wife.
He is the keeper of the ‘cultural‘ end of the office
and sets the tone with some interesting music.

Asha PatelBE (Civil), GIPENZDesign Engineer – Takapuna OfficeAsha has been working
with Airey Consultants since 2006. She has experience in subdivision
developments, roading and drainage works and has a particular interest in
stormwater engineering field and low impact design. She enjoys the
outdoors and movies with her husband and little girl.

Carolyn PowlesBE (Civil), GIPENZCivil Engineer - Takapuna OfficeCarolyn
started working at Aireys as a student in 2001, continued as a graduate
for a few years before leaving on a 3 year OE. She is now back full-time
as a Civil Engineer, working on Remarkables Park, in Queenstown and
various residential subdivisions. She is gaining valuable experience in
infrastructure design and project management. Outside of work, Carolyn
spends her time skiing in the Winter, and at the beach during Summer.

Farid Ahmad SawaizDip. ME (Civil & Structure), TIPENZStructural Engineer – Howick OfficeFarid came to New
Zealand as a refugee in 2001, prior to which he worked for the UNDP
(United Nations Development Programme) for 12 years.
Farid has been working with Aireys since 2003 as a structural engineer.
Farid and his wife and children live in Auckland.

Andrew SimsNZCADDesign Engineer – Takapuna OfficeAndrew has been with
Airey Consultants since 1996 and has wide ranging experience in land
development projects. Andrew also acts as IT manager and draws on
over twenty years of computer aided design experience. In his spare time
Andrew enjoys boating, fishing and the odd hack around the golf course.

Pieter StellingwerfNZCE (Civil)Civil Engineer – Takapuna OfficePieter has been working
with Airey Consultants since 2007. Pieter is experienced in subdivision
development projects and has had significant Local Government experience
including design, project management and the operation and maintenance of
wastewater networks including pumping stations. Pieter’s weekends involve
children’s sports and he occasionally manages to fit in some free time to
cycle & ski.

Saia ThomasBE (Civil), GIPENZStructural Engineer – Takapuna OfficeSaia started working at
Aireys part time in 4th year of university gaining valuable experience as
a student. He is now working full time and is involved in a variety
of engineering projects. Outside of work, Saia enjoys the arts and
heading to the beaches and mountains of New Zealand.
