About Us - Health and Safety

Health and safety is one of the main issues confronting all parties in the engineering and development fields.  Our primary concern is the safety of our employees and people working on our projects.

Backing up this moral obligation are a variety of laws and regulations that place legal responsibilities on all parties involved in the construction industry.  This is especially of importance to our Clients who normally have a wide range of responsibilities under the health and safety laws  that they may not be aware of.

We are an active member of the Sitesafe organisation.  Sitesafe NZ is an independent, not-for-profit industry wide organisation whose aim is to promote improvements in the health and safety practices of the construction industry.  As a member of Sitesafe ensures, we are kept up to date with the latest requirements and practices for ensuring safety onsite.  Being actively involved with the health and safety industry means that we can provide the most up to date and comprehensive advice and actions to ensure that both our Clients and our own legal obligations are properly meet.

Our approach is to make sure that our employees are well trained in the industry accepted best practices for worker safety onsite.  To achieve this all of our technical employees have a current Sitesafe Consultants Passport and undertake refresher courses as required to maintain their knowledge of safety issues.  The Sitesafe Passport is issued by Sitesafe NZ to certify that that particular person is properly trained in health and safety.
