Project Challenges
- 300,000m3 of earthworks on steep slopes with difficult geotechnical conditions. The site is close to a highly valued ecological corridor and sensitive receiving environment.
- Extensive retaining walls required throughout, including mechanically stabilised earth walls.
- Civil infrastructure (roading, drainage, water, utilities) to serve 200 residences in Stage 2, including trunk watermain diversions.
- Power supply diversions required complex drilling installations.
