This detailed historical property was one of the first concrete homes in Auckland and was originally constructed in the late 1800s. The extensive renovation and extension brought a number of challenges with it during the structural design and detailing. The works included a new upper level and underpinning to the entire basement level to provide a new wine cellar and media room. A new guest wing was also added as well as a tunnel to provide internal access between the underground triple garage and the new basement area.
